Job Description

We are currently seeking an Internal Audit Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard office procedures including scheduling appointments, processing mail, answering phone calls, ordering supplies, typing and filling.
  • To file all documents, papers, letters, and records for quick and easy access and retrieval; to maintain and update files; to ensure that all outgoing files are registered; easily traced and tagged.
  • Answers phone calls, responds to routine enquiries, takes messages and directs them accordingly.
  • Track the progress of various assignments.
  • Keeps oneself updated on company activities / products / services to answer enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Ensures a high quality / standard of work and service throughout.
  • Participates in meetings and takes minutes thereof.
  • Assists in audit processes, including audit testing, and preliminary reporting in accordance with Internal Audit methodology.
  • Ensures that audit issues are communicated and resolved as early as possible.
  • Obtains necessary approvals of final reports before issue.
  • Holds audit-related meetings with Management.
  • Supports the Chief Internal Auditor in managing relationships with the different stakeholders of the Internal Audit department.
  • Assists Internal Audit in risk assessments and audit plans.
  • Manages feedback processes and follow-up of reported audit findings.
  • Produces analysis of management information.
  • Assists in ad-hoc projects as requested.
  • Attend all obligatory training as required by the company in order to be able to fulfil the role whilst obtaining the relevant knowledge, skills and techniques.
  • Performs any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and experience:

  • In possession of an MQF Level 5 qualification with no experience.

Or

  • In possession of an MQF Level 4 qualification and 2 years of related work experience.

Or

  • MQF level 3 qualification (5 O’ levels – Grades 1-5) and 3 years related work experience.

Moreover the selected candidate:

  • Be in possession of strong written and communication skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Exel.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to meet deadlines and manage timeframes.
  • Candidates with a certification in Human Resources Management and with experience in Industrial Relations will be given preference.
  • The ECDL standard and ECDL advanced qualification will also be considered an asset.
