Paceville Entertainment is a leading hospitality and entertainment company based in the vibrant heart of Paceville, St. Julian’s, Malta. With a diverse portfolio of six bars and nightclubs. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are looking for a General Manager who can take charge of day-to-day operations, make key strategic decisions, and implement the necessary changes to drive the business forward.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive General Manager to oversee all aspects of our six venues. Reporting directly to the owners, this is a senior-level, hands-on position that demands a leader who is ready to step in, assess current operations, and make the necessary changes to enhance performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be “on the ball,” highly organized, and equipped to tackle challenges head-on. As the highest-ranking operational leader in the company, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the business and driving positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational leadership: take charge of the day-to-day operations of all six venues. Ensure efficient, smooth-running operations across all aspects, including staffing, customer service, inventory, and security.
- Change management: quickly identify operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Implement strategic changes to streamline processes, improve profitability, and enhance guest experiences.
- Team management: lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of department heads (Bar Managers, Security Leads, Event Coordinators, etc.), ensuring consistent performance, high standards, and a positive workplace culture.
- Financial oversight: oversee budgets, financial performance, and cost control across all venues. Implement strategies to increase revenue, improve margins, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Strategic planning and business growth: collaborate with the owners to define the long-term vision for the business. Develop and implement strategies to drive growth, expand the brand, and maintain a competitive edge in the local nightlife market.
- Guest experience: ensure each venue maintains the highest level of service, cleanliness, and safety, providing a memorable experience for every guest.
- Vendor and supplier relations: manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Negotiate favourable contracts and terms to optimize operational costs and ensure the best quality products and services.
- Compliance, health and safety: ensure strict compliance with local laws and regulations, including health and safety standards, licensing requirements, and labor laws. Regularly review safety protocols and ensure staff training.
- Event management and promotions: oversee the planning, execution, and promotion of events to drive foot traffic and revenue. Innovate with new events and promotional strategies to keep the venues fresh and engaging.
- Reporting and communication: provide regular updates to the owners on business performance, operational challenges, and any proposed changes or improvements. Ensure clear and transparent communication regarding business objectives and performance metrics.
