Job Description
At the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa is a 4-star superior hotel we are seeking to engage the following on a full-time basis a Head of Security.
As the Head of Security, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations for Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa. You will ensure the safety and protection of our employees, assets, and facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of the company’s employees, assets, and facilities.
- Overseeing the security of contractors, suppliers and vendors on the property.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate potential threats.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the company’s operations.
- Managing the master keys and key control of the property.
- Reporting health or safety hazards to the General Manager.
- Monitor security systems and respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.
- Monitoring entry and exit to ensure property security and prevent unauthorized access.
- Ensuring duties align with the hotel policy and high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior security role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of security principles and practices, as well as current threats and vulnerabilities.
- In possession of a valid Maltese Security licence.
- Hands-on approach.
- Problem solver.
- Ability to work varying shifts including weekends, nights and public holidays.
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
- Ability to drive the team to provide a high level of service and consistency.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
