The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of automation supplies and be confident in engaging with customers. You will leverage best practices and adhere to company guidelines to drive initiatives that help us achieve our business objectives, while also earning commission based on your performance.

The Role

  • Welcome customers as they arrive, providing assistance and technical advice to help them select the desired products.
  • Actively listen to customer inquiries, offering tailored solutions based on their current setup and needs.
  • Stay informed about the supplier’s product portfolio and pricing to provide accurate information and support to customers.
  • Generate orders for specific products to meet client demands and ensure timely availability.
  • Generate quotations for customers both in-person and through email.
  • Efficiently handle cash and card payments, balancing the cash register and managing customer refunds while ensuring accuracy in billing.
  • Utilize sales techniques to demonstrate how products or services can effectively meet customer needs, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Oversee stock levels at the counter, promptly replenishing popular items and coordinating with the Logistics office for material and delivery management.
  • Provide detailed product information, ensuring customers can make informed purchasing decisions and facilitating a smooth returns and exchanges process according to company policy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop counter and surrounding area to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns swiftly, resolving issues directly or escalating them to the appropriate management level.
  • Assist with promotional activities at the counter, encouraging customer participation in special discounts, seasonal offers, and new product launches.

Who You Are

  • Diploma in Industrial Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the automation and manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
