Responsibilities:
- Inspect buildings, equipment and systems to identify new issues;
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures such as the upkeep of the office building in general, both external and internal. External also includes the inspection of the roof and upkeep thereof;
- Record preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment, buildings and facilities are well maintained at all times;
- Manage electricity and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality;
- Plumbing works include the replacement of water heaters, and cisterns, unblocking of sinks, basins and toilets, and replacement of shower cubicles and doors;
- Electrical works include the replacement of faulty electrical lighting, switches, sockets and plugs;
- Plan and schedule repairs;
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard;
- Perform general maintenance tasks where and when applicable, such as plastering and painting, carpentry and minor landscaping work;
- Furniture repairs and when required;
- Set up of new offices – desks, cabinets and office furniture and transportation of PCs and workstations. This may also include some gypsum and plastering works to set up new office partitions;
- Responsible for the organisation and upkeep of the maintenance technician’s store;
- Responsible for liaising with the Office Manager to order and subsequently oversee the delivery of goods and supplies;
- Conduct inspections and minor repairs of leased company apartments;
- Able to drive a Company van;
- Any other ad-hoc duties as may be required by the Management from time to time according to the Company’s exigencies.
Requirements:
- Must have good English communication and interpersonal skills;
- A can-do approach to detail and a meticulous approach to work;
- Practical experience working in Maintenance is a must.
- Computer literate.
