Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, Lead ICT Administrator who is highly motivated and passionate about information technology to join us at our offices in Qormi.

Within our multicultural environment, the chosen candidate will be exposed to a myriad of technologies whilst working on projects and will also provide day-to-day support and maintenance of the ICT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the IT strategy in order to help the company meet its goals and long-term vision.
  • Timely reaction to, and resolution of, all and any fault tickets, including communication with the client, both to ensure understanding and promote client confidence in the ticketing process.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • Responsible for maintaining Intune, Jira, Confluence and other cloud applications managed by ICT.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks via Intune and other technologies.
  • Talking employees or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems.
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults, replacing parts as required.
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Working on and leading projects assigned by the ICT Manager.
  • Managing the local ICT team.
  • Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
  • Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
  • Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs.
  • Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
  • Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time.
  • Ensure handover of all active tasks to ensure continuity before leaving site.
  • Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., colleagues, or software developers.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies.
  • Provide support to internal users via ticketing system; both local and remote .
  • Take part in a rotating on-call system to assist during out-of-office hours, receiving compensation in the form of an added allowance.

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

  • Be in a possession of a diploma or a bachelor’s degree in the IT field.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an ICT Administrator role.
  • Have Intune experience.
  • Professional working proficiency of the English language.
  • Supervisory, project management and PowerShell scripting experience is desirable.
  • Be eager to learn new technologies.
  • Have an analytic mindset and be attentive to detail.

Bonus skills / certifications (the following would be an advantage to have):

  • Vendor certifications (e.g. A+, CCNA, Microsoft, ITIL).
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with Windows Servers.
  • Experience with Virtualization.
