Job Description
Our client, one of Malta's leading import and distribution companies is currently seeking to recruit a Marketing Assistant to join their growing operation. 

Job Roles

  • Managing of social media Facebook pages:
    • Creating content for Facebook pages - photography skills and basic photoshop skills are necessary here
    • Creating content copy - must know how to write well and come up with interesting copy
    • Creating content plans for every page
    • Maintaining daily social media activity, posting / boosting
    • Answering all messages on all pages (you will need to communicate with other members of staff to get the answers required)
    • Monitoring, analysis and reporting of social media results using various metrics and handing in reports of performance
  • Coordinating and overseeing supermarket and off-trade promotions:
    • Execution of promotions
    • Contacting promoters
    • Contacting supermarkets to make sure all promotional material is in place
    • Organising feedback sheets
    • Reporting presentation to be done after every promotion
    • Monitoring promotions on weekends
  • Providing assistance and back up to the Marketing Executive in developing marketing plans and advertising campaigns
  • Assisting in the maintenance and management of the company’s websites
  • Creating marketing presentations for the suppliers abroad
  • Creating the company's monthly newsletter
  • Writing any content pieces the company requires
  • Researching upcoming social media trends, our existing brands and also competition.

Job Requirements
  • Must be creative and have photography skills.
  • Have good communication skills. 
  • Have good writing skills and strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Have experience in social media marketing and managing of pages.
  • Must be an organised person and must know how to manage people.
  • Must know how to work well under pressure.
  • Must be prepared to work on weekends.
  • Should have a good understanding of various social media channels and functions, including Google Web Analytics and Google AdWords.
  • Have strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge in Adobe Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator it will be a plus.
  • An understanding in the FMCG industry it will be a plus.
  • Able to work on own their own initiatives and also as part of a team.
  • Must be responsible, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Must own a car and have a clean driving licence.
