Job Description
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position requires an individual with a proven track record in a stores department ideally within a hotel environment.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day stock movement transactions in line with budgetary targets
  • Storing and issuing of all stock items in the hotel
  • Issues and records all requisitions to the outlets
  • Process all relevant issue requests and returns through the materials control system in a timely manner
  • Maintains the materials control system updated and organised, and that month-end receiving is complete
  • Establishing and maintaining accurate par stock levels and alert Purchasing Manager of low stock for reordering purposes and also avoiding overstocking
  • Ensuring effective stock rotation and highlighting potential wastage
  • Assisting in monthly stock-takes
  • Oversee the stores team and ensuring objectives and daily and monthly tasks are completed

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be logical, accurate and able to handle multi-tasking
  • Be well-organised and possess time management skills
  • Be able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Portray a professional image commensurate with the values of the Company
  • Fluency in English and Maltese
  • Be conversant with MS Office applications and in-depth knowledge of materials control and Micros POS system
  • Have a valid food handler’s licence
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar role
