Candidate Profile

  • ‘A’ level passes in computing
  • Higher diploma in computer studies
  • Knowledge of a wide range of software and hardware
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in similar position will be considered as an asset

Job Responsibilities

  • To assist in the development and maintenance of installation and configuration procedures and any other IT related documentation.
  • To provide first and second line desktop support.
  • To provide preventive maintenance to servers and workstations via the implementation of security updates and patches.
  • To execute the daily operations.
  • To be trained and involved in the understanding of the present application system software being used in the organisation’s business procedures in preparation of system migration to a new ERP system.
  • To administer both physical and virtual servers including, Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, File Servers, and application servers.
  • To support Office365 including email, office applications and SharePoint services.
  • To support logical and physical LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems whilst monitoring such networks to ensure security and availability.
  • To maintain daily tape backup and off-site tape storage.
  • To support CCTV cameras, access control and punch clock systems.
  • To check daily logs ensuring all systems are running efficiently.
  • To perform routine server monitoring and performance benchmarking.
  • To monitor and remove virus, spyware, and other non-authorized software.
  • To support and help out in the necessary operations which need to be done even when the I.S. Manager will not be available (such as when he will be on vacation leave or sick leave).
  • To undertake internal or external training provided by the school where appropriate and take responsibility for their own self-development.
