Job Description
AX Hotels are well experienced in the fields of groups and conferences as well as any type of meetings and events in Malta. With five hotels on the island you can easily make use of the wide range of different venues and facilities that are available. Each conference hall in any of the locations can be set up according to any of your business needs and everything will be taken care of by our experienced events management team. We currently have a vacancy at our events department at Seashells Resort, for our venues in Qawra.

Main duties:
  • Assisting the Events Manager with the daily running of this busy department and its functions.
  • Ensure a pro-active sales attitude, and liaise directly with clients, with/and on behalf of Events Manager, to assess and provide quotations for their requirements e.g. menus, entertainment, setup, equipment etc. 
  • Organise show-arounds of the various facilities / venues available, advising and discussing the merits of various options 
  • Advise and discuss the choice of menus, beverages and table plans 
  • Update the Opera system and all other statistical records
  • Monitor provisional and confirmed function bookings 

Requirements:
  • Experience within a similar role, preferably in a four /  five-star environment would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, particularly in food and beverage service
  • Preferably with qualifications from ITS or University of Malta, but not limited to 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent command of English and Maltese, both written and verbal 
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills 
  • A passion for excellence in customer service 
  • The ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines 
  • Able to work flexible hours 
  • Capable of building and maintaining relations with new and existing clients
