Role Objective
The required candidate will be working within the claims department to help our clients and other parties throughout the claim-lifecycle. The Claims Handler will be expected to provide Argus’ standards of service to clients throughout their claims experience, whilst at the same time being costs conscious. The role will entail handling claims for our entire range of protection products, with an emphasis on motor products.

Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the claims team, you will be required to:
  • Correspond with clients, claimants, legal representatives, insurance companies, law enforcement authorities and others as appropriately and efficiently as possible in order to facilitate settlement or handle queries.
  • Establish the validity of claims.
  • Input and update data into claims-tracking systems, including reserves, payments, legal info and relevant documentation.
  • Handle legal documents and cash settlement.
  • Liaise with Claims Manager to verify accuracy of current reserves.

Technical Competencies
  • Sound educational background, preferably holding relevant professional designations or progressing towards insurance qualifications.
  • Previous employment in a claims-handling role within the Maltese Insurance market 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
